Spearheading the intellectual battle against the EU. And for new thinking in international affairs.

Shoot the Other Foot Too!

feet Mad or What?

Having lost Labour's Brexit voting heartland Keir Starmer's response is to propose getting much, much, closer to the EU. He is like a man who having shot himself in one foot decides to shoot the other to keep it company.

Britain voted to leave the EU because a majority wanted to control their own fate. They wanted laws and politics to be decided in London, not Brussels. Supporters of the EU knew they could not win that argument and concentrated on the economy. Project fear, a cross party effort supported  by civil servants and the media sought to frighten the electorate. They tried everything from more expensive socks to intervention by Barrack Obama. The predictions were blood curdling. They had no effect because the EU supporters in their arrogance and contempt for democracy chose to overlook the fact that they were employees, not masters. The majority decided it was time for their employees to put in a day's work for a day's pay.

In fairness, it is not just Starmer who wants to re-join the EU. So do the Lib Dems, Marxist Greens, One Nation Tories and 99% of the Labour party. Those who will lose their seats at the next general election seem to be political kamikazes determined to insult their electorate to the last pay check. If they directed as much effort at representing this country and its interests as they do spitting bile at electors we'd be transformed. That is not going to happen because at the heart of the problem is religion. George Lansbury believed that Socialism is a religion and on the basis that it cannot tolerate alternatives, that seems fair. Within Socialism there are varieties, from hard to soft. from fanatical to relaxed. Communists to Social Democrat. Then there is the Socialist equivalent of the Jesuits - the Fabian Society.

Including Starmer there are 141 Fabians in the current parliament as Labour MPs. Their ideology is Marxist. Their purpose is a Socialist world Government. Their method is to exercise control through subverting democratic institutions, law, education and the civil service. A classic example is the Bank of England presently controlled by Fabian Andrew Bailey. Their economic arguments make no sense. Even languishing under one of the worst governments in history, the UK has consistently outperformed the EU since leaving. Germany, the EU's poster boy is now entering its third year of recession.

Starmer's claim that getting close will help business struggling to enter EU markets ignores a simple fact. When we left the EU we did so after agreeing The EU–UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA). It was a free trade agreement mainly for goods, but limited on services that gave the EU most of our fish, It was a bad deal that favoured the EU. Since then Brussels has used non tariff barriers to make it worse. Neither Sunak nor Starmer have stood up to them. Badenoch reneged on the promise to remove their laws. Those obstacles that exist, exist because the EU has created them and both Sunak and Starmer have failed to defend UK interests.

The EU wants to become a the Socialist Federal Republic of Europe. For Starmer and the Fabians that is a stepping stone. One they believe they can use to obtain world Socialism. A world government that will end all strife because under a true Socialist Commonwealth there will be no property and therefore no cause for strife.

Those wanting to re-join the EU are asking a condemned electorate to pay for the noose that will hang them. This may seem odd, but one must understand that non Socialist re-joiners hold democracy and the people in contempt. In a way the Labour attitude is even worse. They do not believe that the UK has a right to a separate existence. They are Globalists to whom the concerns of a nation state are anathema. They detest what we stand for and will not shed a tear if they succeed in destroying our country.

Those who value democracy and our nation have a mammoth task in not only preventing Starmer's plot, but in un-picking the Fabian tentacles that make it possible. This article by Colin Bullen is apposite.
