In the short time he has (unfortunately) been our Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer has managed to acquire quite a good collection of nicknames. They range from: 'The nasal knight', 'Free gear Keir', 'Starmer the farmer harmer' and 'Never here Keir', which is quite appropriate as he has spent a large part of his Premiership out of the country.

His latest jolly abroad was to meet up with his EU chums in Munich at a meeting on defence, which he embarrassingly used, when using his speech as a party political broadcast to have a go at his main opposition, the Reform Party and Green Party. However, as a rabid Euro fanatic the main reason Starmer was there was to stick two fingers up to the millions of UK voters, who in 2016, were the majority who had the common sense to vote 'Leave' in the EU referendum and to set the UK free to govern itself again.

Those who wanted to ensure Britain stayed trapped in the failing EU bureaucracy, of which our floundering Prime Minister was one, arrogantly thought they would win the referendum, they had one hell of a shock when they lost the vote. After licking their wounds for a day or two, getting over the shock that the great majority of British people were against their plans for a United States of Europe and full control by an unelected elite in the EU Commission, they regrouped and began plotting ways to wreck Brexit. They had a lot to thank Tony Blair for during his time in number 10, he had laid the ground for future Governments to ignore the electorate and, very conveniently for the Euro fanatics, also sabotage Brexit.

Blair did many things that have done a great deal of harm to the UK, he privatised the NHS with P.F.I., he ensured students left university with a lifetime of debt and tore the nation apart with devolution as part of preparing the UK to be fully governed by the EU as merely 'Regions of the European Union'. He also made life easier for the democratic decisions of the people to be overruled. He had got shot of the hereditary Peers and then stuffed the House of Lords full of his cronies and others whose brain power comes into question, he surreptitiously got rid of the nations most important treason laws in a little noticed section within the 1998 Crime and Disorder Act and had set up the Supreme Court. All was set to make it easy to betray Brexit and, technically, commit treason.

The forces against Brexit and the will of the people recouped within days and began the attack against the 'Leave' voting majority. At the time my own Labour MP was part of the Brexit sabotage gang, along with other pro-EU MPs she began attacking and voting against Brexit in Parliament, thanks to signing up to the web-site, They Work For you I was getting updates of how she was voting, which was in total opposition to how over 60% of her constituents had voted. She knew who I was as I had stood against her as the UKIP candidate in three general elections from 2010 to 2017, I emailed her and politely suggested that as she was finding it impossible to represent the will of her constituents, whose job it was for her to represent them, she should stand down as the MP and let someone else take over who will honour the will of the people in the constituency and the way they voted. The reply I received was: "Hello Derek, nice to hear from you"! I had received a political two fingers! I am pleased to say, thanks to the boundary changes at the 2025 general election, that hopeless MP is no longer my MP. Sadly, she is still in Parliament and doing little as the MP for a new constituency - I have great sympathy for her new constituents who, no doubt, she will ignore.

The tale of my then MP is part of the whole betrayal, We had people such as Gina Miller, who was not even born in Britain, using the Supreme Court and our legal system to stop Brexit, Civil Servants were dragging their feet regarding getting things done and the Europhiles in the Conservative Party ensured a remainer Member, Theresa May, who had failed at just about every Ministerial post, was elected as their new leader and P.M. after David Cameron quit. The whole scene was set to stop and block Brexit. As expected, May, just like everything else she had touched, made a real hash of the Brexit negotiations and caved into all the EU's bullying demands as they ran rings around her. It was only after managing to lose a healthy majority in Parliament by foolishly calling an unnecessary general election in 2017, her time in office came to an end and Boris Johnson then had to step in to salvage the wreckage of our Brexit negotiations. It is a wonder with all those pro-EU forces doing all they could to wreck Brexit that Boris managed to get the job done, although the final deal still left a lot still to be dealt with and left a very poor deal for our long-suffering fishermen and the loyal people of Northern Ireland.

Now here we are with one of the most unpopular Prime Ministers and Governments of all time which is beavering away to not only undermine Brexit, but to totally reverse it with not even the courtesy of a sham Government consultation or vote. Starmer and his bunch of out of touch MPs want the UK back in the European Customs Union, which then means we begin to be rule takers rather than our own rule makers, which was what the people voted for in 2016 when voting for independence from the EU. This hopeless Government has signed the nation up to the Erasmus scheme, at a cost of £570 million a year. The poor old and long-suffering British taxpayers, who can well do without this waste of money being spent just so this terrible Government can show the EU what good little, servile chums they are.

Not only that, Rachel Reeves, the first female Chancellor of the Kingdom, who during her short time in office has wrecked the economy and made many jobless, especially the young, has spoken about "Stronger ties with Brussels as the UK's biggest prize". This woman not only wants to destroy what little wealth we have left, she also wants to destroy our newly won freedom at a predicted cost of, which is the cost of rejoining is estimated to be around £40 billion a year. Writing in the Daily Mail, Maggie Pagano, also warned of Reeves's desperate EU gamble.

At the Munich conference on defence, speaking on the 14th February 2026, Keir Starmer implied that Britain was no longer the country of Brexit. Despite him being one of the most boring public speakers of all time, he won great applause from his EU chums for that one. Within his speech he stated the need "to create a more European NATO", obviously meaning an EU NATO. He continued and within his ramblings and said: "It means putting away petty politics and short-term concerns. It means acting together to build a stronger Europe and a more European NATO, underpinned by deeper links between the UK and the EU, across defence, industry, tech, politics, and the wider economy. Because these are the foundations on which our security and prosperity will rest.

This is how we will build a better future for our continent. True to the vibrant, free, diverse societies that we represent, showing that people who look different to each other can live peacefully together. But this isn't against the tenor of our times.

Rather, it's what makes us strong, as we're prepared to defend it with everything that we have.

And we are not the Britain of the Brexit years any more. "Which was the bit where he won great applause. In other words, he would be quite happy to sign the UK up to an EU army with foreign generals directing our troops."

Like my ex MP who ignored and went against the wishes of her constituents, Starmer is going against the will of the nation and the great majority who voted to set Britain free from the EU, its rules, bureaucracy and extravagant cost of membership. By quietly and deviously taking the nation back into the EU the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is not making clear all the implications of rejoining. If he, undemocratically, took us back into the EU once again we would be putting far more in than getting out, there would be no opt-outs, as before, we would have a negative trading partnership meaning the other EU nations would sell more to us than we to them, as before we left. However, the biggest betrayal of all would be the fact we would have, as a condition of membership, no option but to scrap our pound sterling and join the EU's euro - we would be giving the EU our wealth and total control over our economy. In such a case Starmer will be betraying the people who voted for the exact opposite to his desire to take us back in.
