Where does Europe go now?
An examination of the response of the British government and the rest of the EU to the French and the Dutch No votes.
Derek Scott was Economics Advisor to the Prime Minister, 1997-2003 and Special Adviser to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Denis Healey, 1976-79. He was also Director of European Economics at Barclays de Zoete Wedd and Chief Economist at Shell. He is now Chief Economic Consultant to KPMG, a non-executive board member of Resolution Life Group and a visiting Professor at London’s Cass Business School. Derek Scott is the author of Off Whitehall a book about the politics and economics of Europe, where he also lifts the lid on life in Downing Street. He is a prominent campaigner against the EU Constitution.
